Mindful Reminders

I find I easily get caught up in the busy-ness of the day and forget my intention to be more mindful in my daily life. So I created this section of the site as a way of reminding myself to pause and become aware of some aspect of my thoughts or feelings.

Verbal reminders:

When you click the Start button below, a new small browser window opens.

After a random interval, an audio message is played suggesting you pause for a moment and consider some or other aspect of your experience.

Between reminders the window will show a random text quote.

You can leave this window running in your browser, get on with other tasks, and be reminded from time to time to be mindfull in some area of your life. You can exit at any time by simply closing the small window.

You may modify how frequently you receive reminders. The initial setting is between 25 and 50 mins. More frequently is between 15 and 30 mins. Less frequently is between 45 and 90 mins.

Because each new sound file has to be downloaded from the internet, this version will only work so long as you remain on-line.

Bell Only Reminder:

This version simply rings a bell at random times. No text quotes, and no audio reminders.

It is useful if you just want a reminder to be mindful, to step back into the present moment.

The random interval between rings can be can be set to your own requirements. For example, you can set it to ring between 15 and 45 minutes, or 60 and 110 minutes, or whatever you like.

You may choose from three different bells.
