How to Meditate Without Even Trying - Introduction to Lesson 1

How to

   Meditate

Without Even Trying

Introduction
to Lesson 1

Being Present - Accepting Thoughts

This first lesson teaches you a simple practice that will be the foundation for subsequent, more advanced, lessons.

People often say they find meditation difficult; their minds are full of thoughts, they can’t sit still for long, or they are easily disturbed. If that has been your experience, then it’s quite natural to assume that you must try harder, and if that doesn’t work, to try harder still.

In everyday life it may often be true that the harder you try, the more likely you are to succeed. But with meditation the very opposite is true. In this program you will discover that the less you try, the easier meditation becomes. The key is allowing the mind to settle down of its own accord.

Topics covered in this first lesson:

  • Effortless Meditation
  • Finding time to meditate.
  • Meditation as an antidote to stress
  • Dealing with thoughts in meditation.
  • Posture and setting.
